Clara Haizlett is the director & cinematographer behind Hazelwood Media, working alongside a team of trusted collaborators. Though rooted in Appalachia, we approach stories with a global lens, weaving threads of universality in stories told both near and far. We are particularly drawn to stories that explore folklife, social movement, cross-cultural dialogue, and the natural world. In a world that is overflowing with media of all shapes and sizes, our individualized approach and artistry allows us to create stories that truly engage audiences, allowing space for contemplation and resonance.
